Competition for the position of Director of the Plant Breeding and Genetics Institute – National Center for Seed and Cultivar Studies

The National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine announces a competition for the position of Director of the Plant Breeding and Genetics Institute – National Center for Seed and Cultivar Studies (3 Ovidiopolska Doroha St., Odesa, 65036).

Application deadline

Deadline for applications — two months from the day the Academy publishes this announcement.

Requirements for applicants

Citizens of Ukraine who are fluent in the state language, hold a scientific degree of Doctor of Sciences or Doctor of Philosophy (Candidate of Sciences), have at least 10 years of experience in research and/or research-teaching positions — including at least 5 years in managerial positions — and are specialists in the institution’s core field of activity may take part in the competition.

Required documents

Applicants wishing to take part in the competition submit the following documents:

  1. an application to participate in the competition addressed to the President of NAAS, indicating whether or not the restrictions established by part three of Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine “On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activity” apply to the applicant;
  2. a personnel record sheet with a photograph (3×4 cm);
  3. an autobiography (CV);
  4. copies of documents on higher education, scientific degree and academic title;
  5. a certificate of preliminary, periodic and extraordinary psychiatric examinations, including for the use of psychoactive substances, in the form approved by Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 651 of 18.04.2022 (form No. 100-2/о);
  6. a certificate of the presence or absence of a criminal record;
  7. an information certificate from the Unified State Register of Persons Who Have Committed Corruption Offences;
  8. a copy of the passport, certified by the applicant;
  9. a copy of the employment record book;
  10. written consent to the processing of personal data;
  11. a declaration as a candidate for the position for the past year in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Prevention of Corruption” (printed from the NAZK website).

Copies of the documents submitted by the applicant (except for the passport copy) must be certified in the established manner (at the applicant’s place of work, by the founder, or notarially).

The applicant bears responsibility for the inaccuracy of the documents.

If the application and documents are submitted only by email, before the elections the participant additionally submits a signed application and certified copies of the documents. If these documents are not submitted, the applicant is not admitted to the elections.

If the full package of documents is not submitted, the applicant is not admitted to the competition.
