Director’s message

The Plant Breeding and Genetics Institute continues the century-old tradition of the Odesa breeding school — 114 years of research since the breeding department was founded in 1912.

As the National Center for Seed and Cultivar Studies and a NAAS coordination center, the institute creates new crop varieties and hybrids and advances molecular genetics, biotechnology and seed production.

We are open to cooperation with research institutions, agricultural enterprises and partners for the sake of Ukraine’s food security.
