NewsUkraine’s scientific potential — new opportunities for agricultural cooperation
Raisa Vozhehova, Director of the Plant Breeding and Genetics Institute, made a working visit to the Syrian Arab Republic as part of the Ukrainian delegation of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine. During the visit, meetings were held with representatives of government bodies, research institutions and agribusiness. Raisa Vozhehova presented the work of the Plant Breeding and Genetics Institute and spoke about its main areas of activity and research developments. Particular attention at the meetings was paid to prospects for further cooperation in agriculture, sharing experience and developing professional contacts. The key result of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine and the General Commission for Scientific Agricultural Research of Syria.
